Marriage & Claiming Rent Relief

    hi

hoping for some guidance regards claiming the above:

situation is that for 2012 i claimed the above €1200 allowance
this was based on me living in partners apartment and paying her rent each month - everything to do with this property is in her name

we are recently married (have yet to update revenue regarding our status and assessment basis etc) and am curious as to whether i can continue to claim the rent relief allowance (reduced to €1000 for 2013) ?

i dont see any reason why i shouldnt claim it, ie - i will continue to pay rent for the property i live in, but given that my 'landlord' is my now wife, are there any technical tax rules for me not to claim it?

also, will also be updating the revenue regarding moving us to joint or separate assessment - will this impact on the above?

many thanks if you can provide guidance or clarity
