    Broadcast in September 1989 to mark the 50th anniversary of the start of WW II, this was a series of historic news reports using modern reporting techniques and presenters and describing events as if they were happening live.

    I think that the BBC might have done other similar programs more recently, but don't recall any specific examples...

    Anyone?

    Update: Just saw that 1 episode of News '39 and 1 episode of News '45, which I didn't know about, are on YouTube.
