    hi,

i am looking to book flights to new york in april,

i found some really cheap flights on skyscanner and went to book them and the way they came up means it is classed as a connecting flight, like i arrive in newark and then leave 7 days later but it not a return flight i dont think

does anyone know if this will work?

I don't really understand your question but Newark airport is very close to New York - you could be on the west side of Manhattan within an hour driving if the traffic is not too bad.

let me try to explain better

so i want to go to new york for a week in april

skyscanner came up with flights for 380 return direct to newark

when i went to book the flights it was laid out like a connecting flight, like i have 145 hours or whatever in new york instead of 2 different flights

has anybody booked flights like this before and do you think it will work if i do?

to book the exact same flight on a normal return basis it is coming up as nearly 200euro more expensive so this would really save me a lot if it did!

ok it doesnt look very clear

    Sat., 13 Apr., 2013 |
Dublin, Ireland (DUB) to New York/Newark, NJ (EWR - Liberty)
    Sat., 20 Apr., 2013 |
New York/Newark, NJ (EWR - Liberty) to Dublin, Ireland (DUB)

but what i am getting at is there is no specific return flight they are both outbound flights

Which airline are you flying with on the dates above?

If Newark is involved, odds are that it is Continental/United. As far as I am aware, all the other airlines that fly into the New York from Ireland, go into JFK.

No they are not. From what you posted above, one flight on the 13th is Dublin to Newark, and the other on the 20th is Newark to Dublin. What am I missing? :o

You do realize that New York/Newark, NJ/EWR-Liberty is all the same thing/airport don't you? :)
