    hello im just wondering is it possible to decoy pigeons on stuble at this time of the year or is it only on to oil seed rape they will go for???i have loads of stuble on my land and shoots of winter barley... and what are the best weather conditions for decoying???

    the stubbes are usually played out around this time but its not uncommon to find them feeding on them seen about a few hundred crows on a stubble today,
    the pigeons are destroying the rape around us at the minute. if you see them feeding on a field you will more than likely pull them in but i wouldnt go setting up on a stubble unless i seen a lot of them coming and going first

    Around here there are lots of them in beet tops, rape and kale.

    went out on a stubble field sat morning with my new pigeon magnet in hand, conditions were perfect, got 3 in the first ten minutes, that was it!! stuck around for about 2 1/2 hours, there was a few pigoens around but they were just bombing past a mile in the sky, so they're pretty much finished with it where i am anyway
