    Any recommendations around celbridge/Lucan to buy a hearth? Looking for a black granite or slate one, don't want a polished finish... More satin or matt.

    Adverts.ie is your friend. Some great second hand or refurbished or rescued ones pop up on there from time to time at good prices. Much better than buying a new one IMO.

    The is a bloke down in Hills Mills in Lucan that does fireplaces, hearths and stoves.

    Found a salvage yard/stone masons in Islandbridge. Half the price the fireplace shops were looking for. Going with a slate hearth.

    I got a big piece of slate for mine at Killoran slate based in Tipp, I had it delivered to my door.
