Since this mild damp mucky weather, my car has started to get mouldy inside. Seatbelts, kids car seats even steering wheel is mouldy. Would normal household mould/mildew remover be ok to use?

First, you'll have to get rid of damp - and if not already sorted, the source of the damp. You should be able to pick up some de-humidifers in Tescos for fairly small money....leave them in the car and let them soak up the moisture.

Then for cleaning, a mild All Purpose Cleaner solution (in a spray bottle), a toothbrush, a nail brush, some cheap microfiber cloths and a bit of patience. Another de-humidifer to soak up the dampness from your cleaning!

Id be more inclined to use a mild soap instead of harsh household chemicals that are not really designed to be used on a cars interior.

Who said anything about harsh chemicals??

An all purpose cleaner is....just that....you dilute it to the strength necessary for the job! Water it down to 50:1 if needs be...will be similr to mild soap then!! ;)

Trust me....I know what Im at! :)

The likes of AutoGlym, Chemical Guys, Meguiars and almost all car care manufacturers make an All Purpose Cleaner specifically to be diluted to whatever strength you want/need. There's nothing harsh about them unless you don't dilute them but they are meant to be diluted.

What car is it? Plenty of cars are known to leak at different points.

don't think its anything to do with the car leaking. The weather here in the west is so humid and damp. I'm not the only one in the estate with same problem. Also my garden shed is so damp to its unreal.
