Royal Mail Christmas Delays?

    Hello folks,

    I used to avoid ordering anything directly after Christmas as you'd always read/hear about Royal Mail having a backlog, something which I've never heard about An Post or they failed to mention. :pac:

    Anyway, I ordered 2 items from the UK which were being sent to Antrim(Parcel Motel) via Royal Mail, The first was 'dispatched' at 10:49, 2nd January 2013 with a estimated delivery of yesterday or today. The second was shipped on the 3rd of January but I really think it was actually the 4th, this has tracking but hasn't left the 'National Distribution Centre'.

    So is anyone aware of delays/backlogs with UK standard post? I'm kinda' hoping it's this and not because I screwed up the Parcel Motel address and no one knows where it's meant to go.
