Hi all, The AutoSave Draft feature is now disabled across the site. The decision to disable the feature was made via a poll last year. The delay in putting it in place was due to a bug/update issue. This should serve as a reminder to manually save your drafts if you wish to keep them. Thanks, The Boards Team.

I was considering studying medicine in Britain, preferably Scotland and I wanted to know a few details.
    1. What are the requirements? (Do you need to do a HPAT equivelent?) What are the points requirements?
    2. How much would it cost?
    3. How do you apply?
Thanks in advance for the answers!

I've looked into this a bit, I want to do the same, so I'll let you know what I found :)

There's two different tests you must take instead of the HPAT, the BMAT or the UKCAT, different universities and institutes require different tests so check out with your required universities which exams they require. The points and stuff are pretty confusing to explain due to the different exam systems. Here's the main requirements from the universities : http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki/Medical_School_A_Level_Requirements
The point system is only used in Ireland, in the UK they use an grade system, most universities are looking for about 5 As at HL in the Leaving Cert for Medicine, but check with each university about their entrance requirements and check their international requirements and the Irish Leaving Cert will be there.

I honestly have no clue about the cost, so sorry!!

You apply through the UCAS - http://www.ucas.com/, which is sort of similar to the CAO. Check their website for all the details you need :D

    Best of luck :D
