New hob

    Hi,
I just had a new 4 ring gas hob installed and got it from the Gas Company. The larges ring on the bottom left is under powered and can not sustain a full ring of flame. The one diagonally opposite in the top right corner is also below par.
The other two are ok and work fine. Am I right in suspecting the problem is with the size of the brass jets and their distribution, or is it that the gas pressure needs to be adjusted.
    TIA, John

Did they not light and check them when they installed it?

The size of the jets shouldn't be an issue as the hob would have more than likely come set up for NG, it's up to the installer to change the jets for LPG.

I would definitely be giving them a call on Monday regarding this. Did the gas company install it or did you get your own RGI to install it?

The jets in the plastic bag are for LPG. There would have been another set already installed in the hob and they are for Nat Gas.
Who installed the hob and did they leave the Nat Gas jets in the hob or change them?
It should have been fully tested & by right certed before handover.
