Problem with JSA

    Hi all,
I was due to collect my Jobseekers payment today however I was told by the nice lady in the post office that it was not there for me. She explained that some people in the area (navan) had also payments 'missing' and that I should wait until Monday. Which is fair enough, but I'm skeptical as to why this is the case.
Has anyone else experienced this before, or this week even? It's been quite worrying as I'm literally broke after xmas.

Sounds strange. I would say the post office was short of cash or it was a local computer issue and it was a way of getting you to come back.

Yes those were my thoughts(after the initial feeling of terror subsided), I figure there would have been a notice posted out to me from the SWO if they had suspended my payment. Though there's no reason why it would have.
Just wanted to see if anyone in the area had the same experience, to relay my fears.

You can ask for a nil receipt in the post office to prove there's nothing there for you. While I think it's unlikely they'd lie about it, you don't have to take their word for it if you don't want to.
