What do you mean you can't find anything? In all likelyhood many of the apps you had on your apple product are available in the android store.

Mmm ever heard of Google? Bing? Yahoo? Search function...

There's even a thread on boards for all the useful android apps...

For example mail, do I have to download an app for mail? I just would have assumed something like this would be already there...obv not?!?

Gmail should already be on the tablet, if not just search it in the Play store.

There's also another mail app preloaded if you have other accounts. It'll bring you through a basic set up wizard like the Apple mail app.

There's a lot of other mail apps available in the Google Play Store too.
