Hi, back in June i lost my job and knew i wouldn't be able to make a direct debit payment anymore to Cineworld for their unlimited card. So i rang up, explained this and they agreed with me to cancel it. I wasn't expecting them to cancel it so easy, she just said yes asked for my name & address and say it would be sorted. Move on to November, i get an email saying they haven't been able to take direct debit from my account for the previous 4 months (yet they didn't cancel my card but cancel other peoples card when this happens?). I emailed back saying that my account was canceled and i shouldn't have even been tried to be charged....they never replied.

Now today i received a letter from some company called Daniel Silvermans telling me i owned 77 pounds which included a fee of 20 pounds for non payment..... something which was never in the contract.

They are also requesting the amount in pounds, instead of euros which means i think it might be bigger than it should be?
My question is, even though i canceled my account. Do i pay the amount they are requesting? Would anything happen to me if i didnt?
