No prices on facebook business pages

    Hi all,

    New here and new to the business world as well.
    Just wondering if anyone knows why there are no prices on business pages.

    You see I want to set up a small home business using Facebook to advertise and show off my products. I can see a way of putting prices next to my product photos but I am not sure if I am allowed. I have not been able to find an answer on Facebook and I can't find a way to contact them directly.

    It's something I really want to do but don't want to get in trouble before I have even started.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks
    Abimoo

    Seems it ok on the page but not on the cover.
    All covers are public. This means that anyone who visits your Page will be able to see your cover. Covers can't be deceptive, misleading, or infringe on anyone else's copyright. You may not encourage people to upload your cover to their personal timelines.
    Covers may not include:
    i. images with more than 20% text;
    ii. price or purchase information, such as "40% off" or "Download it on socialmusic.com";
    iii. contact information such as a website address, email, mailing address, or information that should go in your Page's "About" section;
    iv. references to Facebook features or actions, such as "Like" or "Share" or an arrow pointing from the cover photo to any of these features; or
    v. calls to action, such as "Get it now" or "Tell your friends."

    Thanks Biko. I didn't see that in the rules on the page.
    I will read them again to make sure there is nothing else I can't do.

    Ahh, you cannot do that on the Cover (ie the big, wide picture at the top). But I haven't seen any rules about not having pricing in other places, etc in status updates.

    With the new rules you can't put more than 20% text in the cover image or any images you promote on the page as a business. And that text can't include calls to action or pricing info. But I've seen nothing else in the rules about prices! So I'd say go for it!
