    Hi folks,

looking to get the below two items stripped and varnished.
The table only needs the tops (including lips) and the legs done. The underside and supports for the tops dont need to be done.

the steps have been detached an are leaning against the shelves in the image

    the steps needs everything done.

does anyone know of someone who would do that sort of work? Theyre from a boat which is having other work done and there isn't really anywhere to do it, so the decorator would need to take them away ideally.

How much are you talking for that work?

Not a big job, it may suit a french polisher.

How much would it cost do you reckon?

Its really hard to tell Alex, i'd be thinking the €300 -400 mark.

Not sure what your budget is, but a FP would have them gleaming.

What are they to be used for? I don't think you'd need to go to the extreme of french polish.. Are the steps to be used with the boat, in which case they'd need a good sanding and a few coats of yacht varnish.
French polishing is more for nice antique furniture or fancy staircase bannisters.
Looks like a good days work in them but would have to be done : 5hrs sanding and 1st coat, next day 1or2hrs for 2nd coat, next day steps would need another coat if they're gonna be used with a boat..
The sanding is the hard part but how much sanding is required really depends on what you plan on using them for and how nice they need to look.. Is the table for inside your house?
