Hey, hope this is the right place for this. My laptop was stolen from house (on christmas eve of all days). I have insurance so the contents should be covered (had presents and other valuables taken too  ). It was a Dell Inspiron that was stolen. I got it a few years ago, paid €1300 at the time for it, paid extra for a decent graphics card. I don't have any documentation for the laptop and Dell don't do the model I had anymore. My question is what would be the equivalent model to the laptop I had now? I emailed Dell about it and still waiting on a reply - need details on serial number of laptop...I don't have order number for it. Did anyone else have laptop stolen but no documentation for it? Or any other similar situation?

    Thanks!!

If you ordered straight from Dell you would have got an email with the order number... but anyway, they should be able to find it if you have all other details.

Yeh I have model number. Emailed them and got no reply. I'll ring them and see if they can find details by my name and address, have nothing else unfortunately.
