Does anyone know what or where this place is on air traffic control "Lower South 126.250" and also lower north. I never heard this before when listening to ATC.

    Jobs for the boys...

Well informed quote, thanks. HOWEVER, it takes the same number of staff as before, so no extra "jobs for the boys".

Dublin airspace has the option now for a vertical split at FL125, aswell as the lateral Dublin North and Dublin south. But as each position should have less planes, each sector doesn't need as many staff per sector. There may be extra sectors but no extra staff. Number of sectors x Number of staff in each sector = SAME Number of staff as before.

The splitting of the sectors and point merge is explained in this IAA video (with poor sound...) http://www.iaa.ie/files/TMA2012web.mp4
