Due to feeling rubbish about betting in general, I have decided to stay away from making bets for a while. However, I have noticed, I still find myself looking around that stats sites, and trying to figure out games. So, I have decided to post a log of bets I would have made if I was still betting.

If I was depositing money with bookie right now, I would most likely deposit €100, and see where that gets me. So, that is what my fake balance is for this log.

    Bank: €100
Bet: Griffiths Anytime (Hearts v Hibs)
    Odds: 2/1
    Stake: €20

    Eh no,
The OP's "Bet" didn't come in.
Had he bet an actual 20 quid on it he would have lost it, however he didn't bet an actual 20 quid on it, thus saving himself 20 quid.
Up 20 quid or at worst "even"

Fair play, I would have thoughts the odds for that happening would be shorter than that. Scholes is a card magnet!

I thought it was a bit high too. I have no idea if those odds would have been matched on Betfair if I made the bet, but that is the price I saw when I checked.

The only way to know is if I actually bet - and that would have ruined the log :pac:

If you were betting with actual money would you be betting 25% of your bank balance on a 3.65 that you can't say with any certainty represents the enormous value required to come anywhere close to justifying that percentage?

When you do return to betting you need to be very conservative with your bets or you will continue to lose, even if you pick profitable bets.

Think 2 years ahead not 2 months and just do singles.

To be fair I see this advice being given all the time until the more experienced punters just give up sharing advice and see it not being taken on board.

If even 1 out of every 100 readers takes it on board though it is worth it.

I might have ran into the street screaming if I had money on it though.

If I had €200 in he Bank tonight, I would feel good sticking a decent lump on Castro Anytime (as I posted about here). Trying to settle on the actual amount I would bet before tonight.

This is a bit of a big bet, but after thinking about it some, I feel I would honestly make this bet if I was €100 up on my initial deposit. It is a bit stupid to be fair, it will annoy some, and people will say I am, in fact, stupid risking so much, but I think I would do this if this money was looking at me in my online betting balance right now.

    Bank: €200
Bet: Castor Anytime (Betis vs Athl Madrid)
    Odds: 3.20 (on PP)
    Stake: €100

I am happy to look like an idiot come 11PM

Closing this, as I made a €10 bet on the Aston Villa / Bradford game.

Looks like I ended things all level in my bank - so lost and gained nothing by not betting.

    Success?
