Attention Mark or Linda: Help needed connecting iPhone to eircom mail.

Hi guys,

Could anyone help me out please. I am trying to add my eircom.net e-mail to my iPhone but I keep getting error messages and am having no joy.

1. Settings, Create new account, details entered, asking me for a password which I don't ever recall having for eircom.net account but have set one up now.
2. Looking up account and then I get a popup saying "The SMTP server "mail1.eircom.net" doesn't support Password authentication. Please check you account settings and try again".

So I'm stumped. Don't know what to do next so any help you could offer please would be much appreciated.

go to Mail, contact, calendars
choose “add account “
Choose “other”
Choose “Add Mail Account “
Populate fields
It will verify the account and it will display the error message
Just press on “ok” and the on “save” on right top corner
Another pop up message
Press YES for this message
press “save”
Now account will appear in main “Mail , contacts , calendars” screen just above add account button
Go to the account and go to “SMTP” settings
Go to “mail1.eircom.net” (in this case this is a primary server )
Remove username and password, disable SSL, and change port server to 25
go back a page and go to “Advanced” settings
disable SSL if enabled and change port no to 110
And this should successfully create the email account

 I cannot find Mail contacts under any settings even advanced.
I ave tried the online settings in Chrome, firefox and Explorer and cannot find a tab for Mail. My computer was updated to windows 7 I think

I cannot see my question sent a few minutes ago.
Please forgive if duplicated.
 
Where do I find the proper “settings” that will give me a Mail tab or option?
 I cannot find Mail contacts under any settings even advanced.
