I am just wondering what the twins are up to now. This time 18 months ago they were all over the Sports pages with the Solheim being played here. I was sure that they were about to turn professional about then.
In fairness I dont watch the Ladies Amateurs that much, it just seems to me that they have slipped off the radar somewhat.

As far as i know they are not doing any thing at the moment, my sources tell me (my granny is high up in leinster ILGU) that they arent competing at the moment. I couldnt say about the future though.

Cheers LonanC. I wonder are they doing exams or something. Seems weird not to be competing when they were getting loads of publicity and doing really well in invitationals against the Pro's. Sometimes the best window to turn pro is very small. I know of a girl in Carlow (Delaney) who considered turning pro a few years ago. She decided to go to college in the States for 3 years and then go for it. It never really worked out for her on the pro circuit.

Shame this wasnt picked up by anyone else. Lisa Maguire finish 6th in the European Women's Championships today in Finland. 2 shots away from finishing 3rd. Think Leona missed the cut.

Not sure if they had the leaving cert this year but I'm sure we'll regularly see them in the results section of the paper for the rest of the summer.

I'm fairly sure they were doing the Leaving Cert this year, as far as I remember I was doing Transition Year the same time as them so unless they took a year out or something they would've had exams.

Little brother Odran won the Leinster open boys under 13 title recently. I heard before that is even more talented than the girls! Watch out for him.

I've heard that about him too, one to watch.

It would be fantastic to see the 2 girls out on tour, I presume American college is the next stop for them.

One of them reached the final of something big recently (Irish close or amateur open or one of those)

Digging up an old thread but thought a few may be interested. The two girls are off to Duke university in the states on scholarships after both getting more than 600 points in the leaving. That's some achievement considering the amount of time they put into their golf.More detail in this articleTwins off to Duke

They played very little golf the last year, dad is a teacher and zero golf during the week and not even practice ( from an interview I saw on them last year), as exams drew closer no golf at weekend either.
Great Leaving results, best of luck as they sound like genuine scholars that will benefit from Duke.
