The accommodation is seriously cheap. Would be too far out for me mind you, but I must have a look :)

How do you get the extra 8%?

If you join fatcheese and book your flight and hotel with fatcheese you get the 8% when you return from your trip,
Have got 153 euro from them so far, can be a bit slow sometimes.

Did you put the flight query alone or the package together in the search field on ebookers?

Or did you see it somewhere else?

Read in the news yesterday that the cafes won't be open to foreigners anymore. Could seriously dent tourist numbers. The law has come into effect nationwide but the city of Amsterdam are trying to hold off.

Edit: seems the article I read yesterday forgot to mention that the law included a proviso whereby "local circumstances" could supersede the ruling.

Looks like none of the major cities are going to enforce it which makes the whole legislation redundant thankfully.

Nope, the Weed pass was canceled in Amsterdam:

The city was against it from the beginning

    Edit:
Could you use this with it also ?

THAT HOTEL is not 15 mins away from amsterdam, it is 45 mins, i use to live there for 7 years. did you not look at the map before purchasing, and there is nothing in the area where hotel is only buildings.

Located next to Zaandam train station, only 15-20 minutes from Amsterdam Centre and Schiphol. Free parking and free Wi-Fi (public area & in-room) for multiple devices. 24 hour restaurant availablity. Soud proof rooms, elevator, bike rental, business facilities and childeren's playroom. Zaaninn hotel has more than excellent transportation connections to Schiphol International Airport and Amsterdam Central Station. One way tickets to/from above destinations cost between 2 and 3 euro's.

Your thinking of the Zaan Inn Amsterdam (Nieuw West) not the one in Zaandam.

The one in one in Zaandam is 15 minutes by Train.

You can lookup how to get around using www.9292ov.nl (Click the little Union Jack for English)

Also get yourself an Anonymous OV-Chipkaart. Buying single trip passes is a rip.

    Hi Folks,

Just checked 2 x Return flights, out 11/2/14 - back 14/2/14 with Aer Lingus. 245 euro
Tulip Hotel Riverside, double room, same dates with Trivago. 150 euro.

I stayed at this hotel last year before its renovation. It was basic but comfortable then, must be improved now. Note: Hotel is 20 min tram ride from city centre, station is 10 minutes away from hotel (walking distance). Suited us as we enjoy walking.
