Ive been doing a bit of contracting in the UK/Ireland and alls fine.

I did a once off job for someone in the USA and invoiced them.
They paid me the amount invoiced less 30%

I assume this is due to 30% withholding tax.

Can i claim this back? If so how?
Its not a massive amount so is it worth the hassle?

Most times a form W8 BEN, which you can find on the IRS website, will enable you to ask for any withholding tax back.
