    Hi Guys

My fire place is plumbed for a gas fire. does this mean I can have a back boiler. If i decided to get a stove/back back boiler to heat rads can the existing plumbing be used. Or is there more more work to be done

    Thanks
    Alan

What that means is that a gas pipe was left in a position beside the fire.To have a boiler stove the heating system should be open vented what distance is it from fireplace to hot press. To get a boiler stove and get it fitted is going to cost in the region of 3-4k that's a very basic guideline as there's a lot of work in it with no existing back boiler fitted. My advice is to call in a plumber and see what his oppinion is and see if its viable
