Christams arrangements for people who are casual signing

I casual sign for the days I don't work, I normally get paid on Tuesdays. I received a cheque covering the period 6-19 Dec on 22 Dec. Then I received a cheque covering the period 20-26 Dec on 24 Dec.

I haven't received a cheque since 24 Dec. I thought I would receive something this week. Rang the local office, but they said I wouldn't receive anything until maybe the 8 or 9 Jan.

Maybe I'm wrong, but shouldn't I have received a cheque somewhere in between this period? It seems I've gone a long time without money. As far as I know people on regular JSA or JSB received some kind of payment this week no?

If anyone could explain it to me, or if anything similar has happened to anyone else?

Hi. There are no payments this week for casual signers. As you are paid in arrears for casual signing the cheque for weekending 1/2 January will only issue tomorrow night. The cheque you received 24th you would normally only have recieved on the 2nd.
