Im getting a wii u in a few days and i saw the set up menu for the remote control.

My TV and control is not compatible with it and i confirmed that by checking aswell.

im just wondering you don't have to be forced into setting it up do you? to be honest i couldn't care about the feature its not really incredible to be honest but probably handy for some.

but id rather not have to be forced into setting it up

    Thanks. :)

It comes up as one of the first things when you set the system up, but you can skip it.

Just for turning the TV on/flicking through to the right input.

It's a handy feature, works a treat with the Sky HD box too, not too hard to set up with a brand name tv, my Philips LCD was set up in minutes.
