Hi Folks Quick and probably stupid question. If a car's timing belt should be replaced once there's 60k miles on the clock, should it be replaced again once there's 120k miles on the clock? Thanks a mill. Nidge

Quick and probably stupid question.

If a car's timing belt should be replaced once there's 60k miles on the clock, should it be replaced again once there's 120k miles on the clock?

A timing belt is made of rubber which perishes over time as well as use. That is why they have time intervals as well as mileage intervals, it should be changed at whichever one is reached first.
