SAMSUNG UE40ES8000

    Hi

Have been looking at your deals for the UE40ES8000 and you are offering a free 5 year guarantee which is very tempting. Needless to say, no store that I gone to in the south will give me more than the bog standard 1 year guarantee  Also there's a £200 "reward yourself" offer. Does this apply the 40" as well?

Can you confirm if this 5 year guarantee is the Samsung guarantee or one that your shop offers? Basically if the tv develops a fault would I have to bring it back to Belfast, or can it be dealt with in the Republic?

Also, what would be the competitors to the UE40ES8000. The guy in DID told me that the Panasonic have a great model out.

    Thanks

    Padraig

    Rubber & Padraig,

many thanks for the post and the opportunity to quote..

The Sammy 40ES8000 is currently £999.95 / €1249.99 with a 5 year warranty..the warranty is an 'at home warranty' (we don't promise to repair your TV in the home, they are too complicated for that these days, but we will call and collect it and redeliver it to you - so, hard luck, no opportunities to buy cheap wine in Belfast!

..The 'Reward yourself ' promotion is now finished.

In terms of options - the closest options would probably be the LG 42LM670 at £699.95 / €899.99 http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/42lm670t/lg-42lm670t and the Philips 42PFL6007 again at £699.95 / €999.99 http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/philips/42pfl6007t/phil-42pfl6007t

The LG and the Philips have a lower 'gimmick' count than the Sammy but they both have stunning picture quality - we installed a 55" Philips the other day and the picture was completely stunning!

The 40ES8000 and the 42LM670 are both £39.95 for delivery to Dublin - the 42PFL6007 is on a free delivery offer for Boardies and also also features the 5 year warranty,

Thanks again guys and please keep me posted if we can assist in any way,

    Best regards,

    John Mc & Crew

    HI John
Said i would post here rather then start a new thread.
I'm interested in one as well.

Do you take € cash payments in store ?

I'm also after a wall mount for it and was looking at the Vision cantilever Z878 on the UK site. LINK
Could you get this as well ?

I need the wall mount as from time to time i will need to pull the tv out from the wall and angle it at a 30-40 deg angle

    Stealthirl,

thanks for the post & the opportunity to quote..

    - yes we do indeed take Euro cash in-store no problem or we can charge your credit card at a fixed euro price no problem so you have no exchange risk.

I can do the Samsung 40ES8000 with a 5 year warranty included and the Z878 all singing and dancing bracket at £1149.90 / €1449.99..

Thanks again and if you are going to travel please give us a shout first and I'll make sure we have all the kit reserved for you.
