RTE dogs killing sheep at night advert sometimes in the 80's?

Anyone remember that ad that used to run on RTE? It was about dogs getting out at night, forming packs and going off killing sheep etc? I wonder who put that out on air and why was it pulled? Is there any info about it online or video of it I wonder?

Asking because of a story in the next edition of the Irish Farmers Journal about a group of 95 ewe lambs that were attacked, 46 either killed or had to be put down, the rest are doubtful about keeping their own pregnancies.

That's the one, I had a look on YouTube, but either I''m looking for the wrong thing or it's not on it, has anyone seen it?

I remember it - I'm sure it's responsible for my fear of dogs!
The tagline was something like "The wolf in your living room" - the dog was all cute when he was sitting in front of the fire, then he went out and savaged livestock. Chilling.

Was that the cartoon one of the golden labrador heading out and meeting his mates and then mutilating sheep?

Think they left a small lamb bleating over his dead mother :(

As it was an Irish health and safety ad I'd say it's unlikely it'd be on Youtube. The only way that's likely to turn up is if someone made a VHS recording of it off the telly back in the day and decide to throw that up.

I seem to remember the dogs mouth changing when he went out, it sort of faded/morphed into a different mouth with the red insides showing and/or more teeth showing.

Nice one! It's exactly as I remember it.At the time my cousin from London was visiting and he used to crack up laughing when He'd see this ad especially the expression on the dogs face at the end.He was a bit of a strange lad.

Ever look at a dog that's done something he knows he shouldn't have? He may as well tie a white hanky to his tail and surrender, they do look guilty as sin :D

Thanks for that. I was only born in '84 so don't remember it, but was curious to see it after reading this thread.
