BLOPS II on WiiU?

Looking for a game for the WiiU and I see COD is on the WiiU, now I have been playing games for years and never went near a COD game due to what people say about the COD crowd. But its on the WiiU so maybe I should give it a look, is the game worth the massive price tag? Is there a story to it? Whats the online multiplayer like? Never play online, even on the 360.

Or would I be better off just to stay away from it altogether.

From what I've heard it's on par with the other console versions, I've personally played the PS3 version, and it has a pretty good story. Online might be difficult at first as you're new to the game, but I've heard the Wii U community is pretty small for this game, and more tight-knit than the other console versions.

Is it sort of brain dead fps? Looks really pretty!

Yeah I have heard the WiiU community is a lot more at ease online. Hopefully it stays like that!

The campaign in this iteration actually has choices that effect the story, and it's considered the best CoD story in years, so I'd recommend it for the single-player campaign alone. I wouldn't be a big fan of the multi-player myself, I just play single-player and enjoy it in the same way I enjoy a Michael Bay movie, it's the summer blockbuster of games.

If you're not sure you could wait for it to get cheaper, but CoD does tend to retain its value for a while after release.

No problem, looking to get a Wii U at some point this month if I can get a good deal, will definitely be looking at getting this myself even though I have the PS3 version, mainly for the local multi-player with off-screen play

I heard someone say this BLOPS is the COD that the Vita wanted lol.
Nearly bought a Vita a few weeks back when Amazon (somewere in Europe) had a deal for €159 with a game.

Maybe in the summer I'll get one.

I got my WiiU from Amazon premium pack with NL and MarioU for €440 or so. Just cause I could not get one in Dublin at the time cause everyone who had pre-ordered never picked them up for HMV/Smyths/GS and they had to leave the pre-orders in the store room for a week in case they came in to collect, thats why it was hard in Dublin to get one in the first two weeks at launch.

Haha, I actually preordered in HMV Henry Street but never picked it up...I was just really unsure after the initial reception and problems with the US launch.

I actually own a Vita myself, a recent investment, and it's definitely worth it with PS+, I've already gotten Uncharted, Gravity Rush and Mortal Kombat for "free" (Probably the three best games on the system, although I already owned Uncharted and Gravity Rush).

I'll probably pick up a Wii U this evening, possibly a premium with ZombiU and NSMBU, then trade in BLOPS2 and NFS: Most Wanted for BLOPS2 on Wii U (Most Wanted announcement was just "leaked" for Wii U, and off-screen play is a pretty big deal for me...share a TV with a non-gamer housemate :P)

I think I will leave a Vita for the moment, have a Wii/Gamecube, WiiU, 3/DS and an 360, too many colsoles, adding a Vita right now wouldnt be the best thing for me lol.

You're gonna love MarioU, just finished it last week, reminds me so much of 3 and World.

Hopefully we will get SMB3 on the 3ds soon as it was released in Japan this week.
