did anyone ever find these too short to use on a baby seat? Some shop filled my Missusses head up with this idea and I can't really think it can be true.

Probably depends how complicated it is to feed the belt through, around, up and over the baby seat.

Had a fairly substanstial seat (group 1-3) in the wife's old V50 (shares a lot of parts with the older model Focus) without any issue.

that would apply to any car though would it not? Are Ford belts shorter or is it a gimmick to sell the stand that permanently bolts into the car?

Is it not possible to try the carseat before you buy it and see how it works out?

Me? buy it? you'll be wanting me to PAY for it next! :-)

Not going anywhere near MY car! :-)

Just wonder if the missus is being conned, first grandchild, stars in her eyes blinding her sensible streak.... :-)

PS I just recalled the guy who I sold my old Corsair to tied his baby seat in with string...yes really...

It is not the cars but some seat manufacturers that have the bulky car seats. I've done the research recently and yes there are some that won't fix due to the length of the seat belt. In any case every shop I ever went to were more than happy to bring the seat out and try if it fits.
