    Hi All.

    I have an Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTDm 120bhp.
    I am thinking of getting a remap for a bit of extra power / torque.
    Has anyone any experience (good or bad) wit remaps.

    Can you recommend someone in Dublin / Wicklow, will it effect NCT, etc?
    How much would an upgrade cost?

    See here, third lot down.

    Remaps usually, increase preformance by 30 -40Bhp. It also improves economic slightly.

    It won't affect N.C.T AFAIK. But the insurance company should be told. :)

    I had a vectra sri 1.9 120bhp same as the Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTDm 120bhp i had mine remapped by protune . Made a huge difference to the car .

    Joe power is the only man in the country i'd allow remap a car - his work is second to none.

    Is it a generic map or a real map on a Dyno?

    One term you couldn't apply to his work is Generic,he maps cars on the dyno and has mapped some seriously bespoke machines at this stage.

    I've only used him once mind you and it was a number of years ago,but i will be going to him very soon to get my own car mapped.I've been in and also drove countless cars he has mapped over the years and wouldn't hesitate in recommending his work.He is probably one of the best tuners in these islands.

    I have him booked to tune my race car, I've seen him tune quite a few Alfas at this stage too

    Ya? i heard he can re map Alfas to make them more reliable! That's how good he is :D

    While I've seen him work miracles with lost causes I'm not sure he's that good :p
