Went to see the Hobbit last night and one thing that trigged something was the title on the film classification.

'Acting Director' for me it seems like this lad Ger has been acting director for years. When is he going to get the full gig ?

    Poor lad.

Was thinking the same myself. Was initially good on ya Ger, yer a shoe in for the job. Then leading into, jaysis what a let down. Eventually considered it must be the title for the top brass.

Interesting that on the IFCO website, there's nobody listed as the "Director", just Ger listed as the deputy director.

It's probably some public service jobsworth bull**** that he's can't be promoted to a specific public sector grade without having completed X years of service, or similar nonsense.

    Public sector recruitment embargo probably.

    Hello Ger,

Posting and complaining about your current position on a public forum isn't going to help you get the job. If you weren't good enough pre-recession, you ain't gonna be good enough post-recession - simples!

    All the best,
    Enda Kenny

Yeah found that very strange, seemingly the original director stepped down or retired in 2009 thats 4 years acting like you are a director and the whole world knowing you aint the boss :D

They don't even watch the films or test the games, they just wait until the uk does it first. Biggest scam going.

I confidently predict that this will finally be the the thing that gets the Irish people out protesting on the streets in droves.
