Exponential charging v linear output

    Gents,

    As the charging time of a capacitor is exponential, how then is the output of an integrator linear?

    Charging of a cap from a constant voltage is exponential.
    Constant Current charging is linear.
    but most simple circuits use such a small portion of the charge curve, that's its ok to call it linear

    Taking a small section as being linear is common across all sorts of non linear devices. Google small signal model and you'll find plenty of info.

    What course are you taking?
