Ryanair Credit Card Fees Have Been Virtually Eliminated??

    Hi All,

I have just booked a Ryanair return flight for myself. I was expecting to be charged a €12 credit card fee (€6 each way), but ended up being charged a total credit card fee of €0.88 for the return flight.

If I have missed something, feel free to correct me. Otherwise, it looks like Ryanair have virtually got rid of their large credit card fees.

Hope someone finds this of interest.

Wow, just tried a dummy booking there and CC fee was €0.92. What gives with these differing rates though?

Fees have to be included in the fare instead of being added on. New EU regulations!

Correct but evevyone pays the 6 euro admin charge now where before there was a credit card where this charge was waived. The english gov brought out a law on 30 nov last to say that all credit cards had to be treated the same. Thats the change you are seeing. If you paid with your lasercard you wouldnt have being charged any fee

You mentioned if you pay with a laser card you don't get charged a fee. Does the same apply to a visa debit card? I just signed up for a prepaid mastercard just to avoid paying this fee, but that's not going to be of any use now.

We didnt get charged with the visa debit card. The prepaid mastercard went out last feb as they changed to the Ryanair cash card but as this is not a credit card the brits put a stop on it.
