Channel frequency numbers?

Hi folks...newbie here I have tried , unsuccessfully , to install sky news on my combo box today from the lyngsat frequency table . All channels on my box show frequencies like bbc hd 4054 v 22999 ch4 4187 h 21999 utv 3995 v 21999 And yet most of the free to air channels on Lyngsat show frequencies like…

Hi folks...newbie here

I have tried , unsuccessfully , to install sky news on my combo box today from the lyngsat frequency table . All channels on my box show frequencies like
bbc hd 4054 v 22999
ch4 4187 h 21999
utv 3995 v 21999

And yet most of the free to air channels on Lyngsat show frequencies like 10832...10906....10773 etc...and when I insert them with the symbol rates the signal shows very weak and the scan gives no channels .
I know its probably a very dumb question but what am I doing wrong ?

Those sound like C band frequencies. Make sure the LNB type is set to universal in the set up menus.
