Hi guys - Have a non HD, non Sky plus box connected to the dish for free channels. One of the old boxes is connected.

There is only one lead coming from the Satellite into the box I currently have. Someone said to me that you need two cables coming from the Satellite for Sky HD box but do you need this for freeview without a card? I know Sky Plus doesn't work without subscription. Also will I be able to pick up the BBC HD, ITV HD without a problem with it.

You cannot connect a cable to a satellite 'cos it is 22000 miles away.

You cannot get Freeview on a Sky box. Freeview is a UK service received through an aerial.

If you put the old box in another room you will need a second lead from the dish for it. You cannot split the existing lead, you will need a quad LNB.

Yea I meant the free air channels that you can pick up with it.

Yea was thinking that you would need a second cable. Cheers.
