I was looking forward to hearing what Mr. Murray's opinion was on yellow spot in this years bible as I often find myself agreeing with him on many a dram. He gave the Yellow spot a bit of a hiding I thought, in a "better luck next time" sort of fashion. Surprising as it's a huge hit on the other Irish Whisk(e)y forum and also gets recommended here on many occasions. I'm on my second bottle and have enjoyed every drop so far. Anyone else read it or have any thoughts?

Haven't read his notes on Yellow Spot but he loved both Green spot and Power's John Lane, so surprised he didn't like it.

My view (only one tasting) was nice, but not worth the price (compared to other available options). I think price/value plays a big part in some of his recommendations, despite what he says - he gave standard Jameson 95 last year so make what you want of that ....

I got Yelow Spot as a Christmas present this year. I hadnt tasted it before, and it is lovely.

However I have to say, if i was given a glass of both Green and Yellow, i'd probably pick the Green.

I cant quite put my finger on why that is. You know some things are hard to put into words.... well this is one of those instances!

Its like the Green is nicer on the palate, it goes down better and i just enjoyed it more.
