Sites to book Gite/Vila in France

    Interested in booking a gite/villa in France, preferably with a swimming pool. Anyone got any recommendations there are thousands of sites wondering where to start?

    Its for a family holiday about 10 adults going.

    ownersdirect.co.uk would be a well respected site. Mostly British owners advertising their properties but plenty of Irish and French landlords also. You deal directly with the owner and the site is well respected so it should be reasonably secure. Most properties are reviewed by previous customers to give you an idea what to expect.

    I've used Gites de France about half a dozen times and have found it a decent place to start.
