how to get the cash

    my daughter fell when she was a toddler and we were awared some cash now 15 years later i was wondering where she goes or what does she have to do to claim her money any help with this would be great as the brief we used for the case is not around any more so i cant go to him any ideas

    Visit another solicitor. There's a charter here which should be heeded.

    I think you meant to say SHE was awarded some cash.There is no "we".I would suspect that the money cannot be accessed by your daughter until she reaches 18 years.This is commonly used to prevent unscrupulous parents (which I am sure you are not)spending their kids cash on themselves.You really need to seek proper legal advice as anyone on here is only guessing as they were not involved in the settlement

    Well in fact there is a we, the case had to be taken in the mother and daughters name.

    To the OP I am assuming as your daughter was a toddler at the time of the accident about 2 plus at least a year for award to be ruled, plus 15 years since award that your daughter is now 18. If so then of course she can get her money released.

    Your options are go back to solicitor for advice, or contact the relevant court office, they should be able to tell you exactly what to do.
