Have the licence over a year.
I dont use my D licence but I want to keep it current.

Just looked at my CPC card I got and rememberd something about doing a day course once a year.

It was issued on the 17/11/11. So, does that mean I have missed my chance to do the day course because its been over a year?

    Thanks

    I have done cpc1(2010) and cpc3 (2011) should have done cpc2 2012, but didn't.
so rang a cpc course and was told it doesn't matter that i did not do a cpc last year, you can catch up.
as long as you have all done within 5 years ,also does not matter what order you do them in.

You normally have to do one before 9th September of each year (Introduction date) to keep your CPC qualification.

You passed in November '11 so you should of done your's before Sep '12. Ring the RSA and tell them you forgot, they're generally quite cool about it and all you'll have to do is complete 2 CPC modules before this Sep to keep yourself upto date.

You'll be grand I would worry!:)

    Just go on RSA website
    http://rsa.ie/en/RSA/Professional-Drivers/Driver-Hours/Find-a-CPC-Trainer/
Here you'll find Trainers in your area, no need to panic especially as you're not out driving. Courses run about €50 per module.

Can you get FAS to pay for the Day CPC course does anyone know or do you have to fund the 50 quid yourself?

If your not working at present the likes of FAS might be able to fund the cpc course if it leads to you getting employment.

I can't see FAS paying for a CPC course Donkey, in fact do they even teach Rigid/Bus with Alexandrea anymore? Checked their website and didn't see anything listed.... But I suppose the op could try

Fas were paying for CPC courses for those on schemes, everything seems to channeling through Department of Social Protection

Wouldn't hurt to ask them, especially if a job prospect is on cards.

Up to a few years ago I heard that the likes of FAS were paying some money if not the full amount for lads to sit the ADR course which cost roughly about 1k including exam fee,This was before all the crap about the expenses and dodgy courses came to light.

The courses were run by outside companies Faith well known within the industry for delivering very good courses and used by major bluechip companies.
