I use iflicks as it allows you to "stack" stuff to be converted, however, it doesn't allow you to differentiate between TV & Movie - it can only be one or the other.

You add the avi/whatever to it, select what you want it to be, it sucks in the metadata & it converts & inserts it into itunes. Pretty nifty. But is there anything better ?

Handbrake? I'm not sure about the metadata bit but handbrake is a brilliant video converter.

Yeah, tried that. It's good but then you have to do all the meta data separately.

I've found VideoDrive to be great for metadata.

I'll move this to the Mac forum — you might get more answers there.

    Thanks Vinny.

Do you know if its possible to "stack" conversions in Video Drive?

You can add loads to a queue in iflicks, but I don't see it mentioned on Videodrive.

Avi or mp4 or Mkv to iTunes native m4v

Okay, well I can't help you on the AVI -> MP4 front, but for MKV, if it's H.264 video, you should use Subler to remux the file into an MP4 without reencoding the video, which is what most of these tools do.

In the case of Subler, it will fetch metadata for you, and lets you queue up multiple files to be remuxed. It's even got a command line interface if you're into scripting stuff.

VideoDrive has a queue feature, yes.
