    Hi all ,
Family and I are heading to eurodisney for the last wk of march and staying in a Davy crockett ranch. We're flying into CDG and hiring a car.Has anyone stayed here or have any info on it? Any idea of how much cash needed for a wk for a family of four?
We want to see the usual Paris sights so does anyone know of parking areas near Eiffel Tower etc?
Basically looking for any info from the knowledgeable boardsie crew. Thanks

Would not recommend driving into central Paris. A one day Carte Mobilis for the metro/RER should cost under €10 for your zones and gives you the use of all trains in that zone. Take the RER from Marne la Vallee (Disney) to Nation and change on to the Metro 6 line to Bir Hakeim for the Eiffel Tower.

ATMs everywhere in Disney and Paris, wouldn't recommend carrying lots of cash. Watch out for pickpockets, particularly in the Eiffel tower area.

We're heading to Disney Paris in early April, 2 ad 4 kids. We booked Davy Crocket Ranch also & have rentacar from Beauvais (yes, the ryanair "Paris" airport...50 miles away!). We also are going to see the Paris sites but under local advice (sister of an in-law living in Paris 20 years) will NOT be driving into this car-crazy city!

We went 4 years ago and it was fantastic! We just did 2 days in Disney & didn't get to city, so this time the kids are bigger (plus 1) & will appreciate the experience better.

For the city visit we looked at 2 options:
    www.disneylandparis-express.com
They quote €46 adult & €28 child 3-11 for coach x-fer from a list of disney hotels to Paris plus an open top hop-on/off Paris tour including Eiffel Tower. Its a 9am-7pm day trip & price goes up slightly from end of March. You just have to be at the departure points to avail...all the info is on their site. It's a no-worry type trip with all transport organised if you like that sort of thing. This option would cost us 237.00 for the day trip...hmmm a bit steep!

I'm also looking at the DIY train to Paris option which, as far as I can make out, will cost approx €7 per ticket each way on the RER A line, it leaves from the disneyland terminus, I didn't get info on kids prices yet but even at 7quid it's cheap! It's less than an hour to the city centre, unless your heading to the westerly extremes of Paris & I would plan to get around on the Metro which I traveled many years ago (pre-kids) & found it simple & cheap. A 1 day "Paris Viste Pass" (rambler type ticket) costs 10.55 per adult & 5.25 for kids with 3 year olds & under free. All in all about €120.00 for our days travel.

With regard to spending money...the sky's the limit. We wanted to budget for our trip so we opted into the half board option which gives us breakfast each morning at davy crockett & a second daily voucher each to use in a list of disney restaurants or other disney hotel restaurants for lunch or dinner. If you don't fancy any of the eateries on the list you can use the vouchers for face value at any other venue & pay the difference (excluding McD's, Starbucks plus 2-3 more self-branded places). The last time we went a lot of places offered only a fixed price or fixed buffet price type-menu & the pre-pay option give you a 15% discount on these menus, with the fall back option of face value elsewhere. Since you have booked already I'm not sure if you can change to a meal plan option if you wanted to at this stage?
Try this link for a full simple explaination of meal plans & options
    www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/dining/meal-plans/

After that it depends on how mad you can go to spend money on...just stuff!

As I said above, we're heading there in April so if you get a chance post your experience here regarding davy crockett & Paris trip.
    Enjoy!:D

Just with regard to Carte Mobilis as far a I can make out...it doesn't offer child reductions & the RER trips seem to be confined to zones not including Disney. I'm open to correction on that one.

I've definitely used a mobilis to get to Disney. The only place I haven't been able to use it is to CDG airport which needs a separate ticket. Marne La Vallee is in zone 5.
