Hey I don't start threads very often but I have searched this topic and not many recent results came up.

I am travelling through Indonesia and the Phillipines on a budget over the coming months and looking for any helpful tips, must do's or places you'd recommend staying including routes.

Would really appreciate any tid bits of advice you guys may have. Thanks :D

    Hey

Haven't been to Indonesia but have been to the phillipinnes. Not much in Manila to keep you there for two long......two days at the most. I would recommend a trip to Borcay for some sun and relaxation......it does attract a lot of tourists but it has a fabulous beach that is worth the trip. I have heard that Palawan is a great spot (didn't make it there myself but heard good things about it). Supposedly a great spot for diving if you are into that.

Hi, I just got back from Boracay in the Philippines and I'd recommend it too. Friendly people, great restaurants, gorgeous beaches, nightlife is not bad for a couple of nights stay ;-)

Other people spoke highly of El Nido, Palawan, as mentioned above and also the Gili Islands in Indonesia.

    Have a good trip:D

Regarding a place to stay in Boracay - Frendz resort. Book early though, maybe a week or two in advance.
