    Hi,
would anyone have an idea how best to go about selling some old milking equipment and roughly what they might be worth. We got out of milk 7-8 years ago, there is a 400 gallon (c1800 ltr) Kilkenny bulk tank, a cooling plate and 4 receiving jars. would be great to get something for them as they are just sitting there unused.

Would appreciate any information on this.

Afraid secondhand parlour equipment is worth nothing. Your tank is the most valuable bit. Put it on done deal. I know cause i tried to sell similar.

That's true an 8 unit parlour would barely make 2k now even though it cost 12k when first installed.

I sold a 500 gallon bulk tank a few weeks ago on done deal €500, when I had that sold I changed the advert to milking parlour for sale, got a few calls nobody even bothered to look at it, it was a 7 unit, hadn't been used for 10 years, I didn't even have a price for it, i would have been happy with €200/250 - gave it away to a good neighbour a few weeks ago as I wanted it out of the place & he came up with the idea of setting it up to bring milk from the milking parlour out to the calf shed to save himself carrying buckets all the time.

    Jacknes,

Is it a double skinned tank?

What are the dimensions, even approx?
