    Amateurs in various countries (including here) have just got 472 to 479 kHz, which is unfortunate as many AM IF are 470 to 480. Previously some Administrations had licensed 501 to 504 kHz which really is better.
    490 kHz is a Maritime frequency.

    OTH at least many "continuous coverage" 100kHz (or 150kHz) to 30MHz sets can receive it. You'll want SSB to feed a laptop sound line in to decode.

    It's narrowband CW/Data only. No RTTY or Voice :) You'll need a big aerial, but not as big as for 137kHz (which can need 2kW PA to reach the 1W ERP limit).
