zanussi oven problem

    i have a zanussi oven model zbp1165x, it is touch screen. now the oven is heating without turning it on. any ideas

    Do you know where I can get a wiring diagram for the appliance ? Once the oven is powered up from the main cooker switch , it starts to heat up, need to see if its a relay bringing the heat on or if its solid state off a board

    Have you given the touch screen a good clean, could be dirt making it fool the electronics into thinking it's been pressed.

    Either a relay or pcb but you will need someone to check

    Found fault, the element in the bottom of the oven had a short to earth but not enough to trip the breaker. I removed the wire form the control board to the element an d the element kept heating. I am assuming that the pcb switchs the neutral. Disconnected the element on both terminals, sorted.

    Nice one .a new element so.that wont be too expensive.hope you still managed a roast dinner today.!
