    Hi!

I want to buy a violin. I've been planning this for about 2 years and I finally feel like I have the time and dedication to put into one.

What would I be looking for? I'm based in Cork and would like to start looking for one.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks in advance!

I am also very interested in buying a violin also, have been for years. I play various instruments, but have no knowledge on what to look for in a decent violin.

Very little money to spend on lessons so would it be a major task to teach myself how to play??

If I come up with anything I'll post it here to let you know RoyalMarine.

Well, as of today, the only shop selling violins is Pro Musica... they'd be ok and they'll prob set it up (think the bridge needs to be set up on new ones)
How about finding a teacher first and then getting him/her to help you source and test one?
