Buying Advice

    Hello All,

Looking at possibly putting an offer on a Cervelo that's circa 5-6 years old. Has had very little use and fairly sure never been crashed or abused. Not certain yet but think it's an Ultegra group set and Zoom wheels.

Will be getting a better look soon but looking for some advice as regards how much value a bike of this age would fetch elsewhere so that I can try cut a price? Think it was north of USD3-4k when originally purchased.

Haven't bought a road bike in years so any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Paddy

What kind of Cervelo: R3? R5? What kind of Zoom Wheels? What kind of Ultegra group?

Thanks for reply. Hoping to find out soon. Only have an older pic on my phone that is not enough to make out full spec's. Before I make any offers I am going to get full spec and see if I can get more help then. Reckon I will be able to get the bike for a week or two before deciding to buy as I know it has not been used in a long long time. Will do more thorough research then.

OK, so this is what I got:

Few differences to above spec, such as Mavic Ksyrium wheels. There were Zipp carbon (Not Zoom..as above, was thinking skateboards:p) on it too but didn't get them in the sale; but may go back for them. Don't know I want carbon everywhere as I feel the Mavic's may be better suited to me.

Its in perfect condition and I know life of it and has been well looked after and never crashed etc. Person I bought from is same height as me so that suited - albeit is far lighter than me.

Have't got out on it yet as waiting on a few things from CRC - pedals etc. Need to tune it a little then.

Reading Soloist is very stiff but was happy to get the bike and plan on looking after it well.
