UPC On Demand went down on Saturday evening. Service is still not back.

Anyone else having problems with UPC OnDemand?

I'm wondering is it a global or local problem with UPC. I'm in the D4 area.

It's very buggy of late. Often select a programme but just get a blank screen. Have to exit and try once or twice more before it works.

It's a shoddy service at best. Full of bugs. Upc software in general is pretty buggy.

Ondemand Service is still down. Upc customer services not much help. Carried out some tests for them which proved not a connectivity problem at my end. Don't see the point in sending out an engineer. It's more probably a software problem. Don't believe I'm the only customer affected. Sure if a problem with my box or connectivity surely my tv package/ channels would also be disrupted?

When I press the on demand button, I see please wait ... on the screen for about 5 seconds, screen flickers and please wait is displayed for a second before returning to the TV channel screen.

No problems with the Tv channel viewing/recording/playback apart from the normal buggy problems.

Very buggy in Waterford , often only pressing resume starts a programme and not start at beginning

I have this as well, often it takes several tries to get the program running. I'd expect it to work a little better at least. When I do get it running it's been fine, though.

The only functionality working for me these days is the two TV players rte and tv3. All other options don't work. UPC obviously did something stoopid at their end. I'm fed up talking to them and carrying out tests for them e.g. testing connections, plugging/unplugging, following leads for loose connection etc. The problem is more than likely at their end. Some idiot probably buggered up the permissions.

Shouldn't be any issues with it call them and see if it's an issue with your signal. There is a test on channel 999 for it

Numerous tests carried out. No problems at my end. The fault was at UPC's end. The service was finally restored a few weeks ago. Pretty shocking service. No explanation given as to why on demand disappeared for so long.

My recordings show the red download icon but guess what, it doesn't record the programme. A programme to be recorded is seen in my planner but it doesn't record.
Will pm the guys at UPC tomorrow and see where that leads me.
