Are you eligible to sign up for the dole for the summer after completing your first year of college and going back in the September for the second?

    Just curious, thanks!

Did you attend college just after the leaving cert? What age are you?

The only way you can apply for jobseekers during the summer break of college is if you are also claiming back to education allowance.

You need to be out of full time education for 3 months before you can sign on also.

I don't think so, I think they closed this one off back in the early 90s.

Unless you were claiming Jobseekers before you went to college, no - there is nothing. The grants office will continue your payment if you are doing special work experience as part of your course, but if you are not doing this then you will have no income through the Summer months unless you get a job.
