Came across www.thefredcast.com recently. Dunno if it's common knowledge, but essentially 60-90 min podcasts on cycling (pro news, training, advocacy etc) available free on iTunes

Passes the time on those long indoor endurance sessions

I tend to do most of my turbo sessions in the evening so I stick on Off The Ball
But there are some very good podcast out there.

The bloke behind the Fredcast also does the Spokesmen podcast http://www.the-spokesmen.com/wordpress/

Tour Chats is also good http://tourchats.com/

I think the best of them all is the Velocast. Two or three different podcasts all worth listening to including the history one which has an Irish lad Cillian Kelly.

I'd tend to listen to music when I'm on the turbo. If I decide on radio/podcast I'd usually go for The Ricky Gervais Show, I'd be disinclined to listen to anything cycling-based to be honest.

Slightly tangential to the topic but for anyone looking for a simple but effective MP3 player to use on the turbo, the Sanza Clip+ 8GB has done really well for me.
    • Cheap (40-45 euro)
    • Tiny, about the size of a matchbox.
    • Clips on to a jersey or bibshort
    • Has a built-in radio
    • Really nice sound quality if you want to switch over to music
    • Comes with a microSD slot so you can expand the memory up to 40GB if needed.

Just finished an hour on the rollers. Decided to listen to a Ricky Gervais podcast from 2006, Thanksgiving. Rolled off the edge twice on the warmup, I was laughing so much.....ricky and rollers don't mix
